Most monitoring gets sold to the floor badly, and the floor is right to be wary. This reads the machine, adds nothing to the job, and puts evidence behind the problems people have been raising for years.
The problem
Monitoring arrives on a shop floor with a reputation, and usually it has earned it. The version that works is the one that takes work away rather than adding it, and that gives the floor something back.
If the first thing anyone hears is that management will see everything, the answer is already no. What a clamp on a cable actually measures is current, not people.
A fault you have to write up, hand in and chase is a fault most people work around instead. That is how a machine limps for six months.

Jobs booked on and off from a phone or a tablet on the floor. Labour lands against the job as it happens, not on a timesheet at the end of the week.
Power, vibration, heat, pressure and run hours, straight off the machine. Nothing to key in and nothing to remember.

It reads the machine. A current clamp measures what a motor draws, and it cannot tell who is stood in front of it. What it is for is finding out why machines stop, not who was there when they did.
It means less. The recording that used to happen on paper at the end of a shift happens automatically, and the only input is a reason when something has already stopped.
Reasons can be corrected, and the list is written by your own people rather than by us. If a reason is missing, it gets added.
That is a management decision rather than a software one, but the data is about machines and jobs. Our position is that a monitoring rollout that starts by blaming people fails, and most of them do.
No. The terminal asks one question when a machine stops. If you never touch anything else, the monitoring still works.
